Lissete Lanuza Sáenz

Lissete E. Lanuza Sáenz is an entertainment & sports journalist and editor. She was previously the Senior Editor in charge of Features, Lists, and News at CBR. She co-owns Fangirlish, works as a Spanish-language editor at JustWatch and freelances at a lot of other places. Her work has been published at TV Guide, The Independent, Remezcla, Primetimer, Sport’s Illustrated En Fuego Now, Stylecaster and Latina Media Co, among others, and she’s currently the co-host of the podcasts I’m Not Yelling, I’m Latina and Tales From the 188 (A 9-1-1 Podcast). She’s a Rotten Tomatoes Approved Critic and a Member of the Television Critics Association. She hates the color yellow and will never say no to coffee ice cream.

She was born in Panama. She studied law and has a Masters from the University of Barcelona. She’s won enough literary short story awards she’s lost count, and she’s been published in literary magazines and compilations. She’s also published three short story books, and will one day publish a novel in Spanish – if she can ever be convinced it’s ready.
